At OHS, we recognise the importance of guest speakers to our Careers Programme. During lockdown, following the successful careers event in February in which we invited over 40 alumnae to share their professional journeys, Dr Strobel reached out to our alumnae community once again. The result was a series of recorded interviews which were shared with all pupils from Years 7 to 13.
Our latest Inspiration4Aspiration interview comes from Lesley Titcomb CBE, who has had a long and successful career encompassing a variety of appointments. After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in Classics (St. Anne’s College), she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and proceeded to hold various roles in financial services regulation, including Chief Operating Officer of the Financial Conduct Authority and Chief Executive of The Pensions Regulator. Lesley’s current appointments include Non-Executive Director of the National Bank of Kuwait International plc and of Legal & General Financial Advice, as well as board member and trustee at StepChange, the debt advice charity.
Lesley was awarded a CBE in the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to pensions regulation.
All pupils have access to the interviews via their Careers Google Classroom. Next in the series will be Aliye Cornish, CEO of the Irish Baroque Orchestra. If you know anyone who might like to be interviewed for this series (alumna or not), please ask them to email Dr Strobel – careers@oxf.gdst.net.
