At the beginning of each new year, many of us set ourselves New Year’s Resolutions. In recent years, with the increasing focus on the environment and sustainability in the media, more and more people are ‘thinking green’ when making their resolutions.
During this morning’s assembly, we listened to Dr Chorley talk about the importance of being eco-friendly. Our Green Reps and staff shared the ‘green pledges’ they will be making to tackle climate change and help our planet.
As a school, we greatly encourage everyone to be environmentally conscious, whether through swapping plastic water bottles with a reusable one, changing your diet to be more plant-based, or simply educating one’s self about the current environmental situation by reading a book or watching a documentary. Each of us can make a difference just by making one small change to the way we do things.
We hope that you have found inspiration amongst these pledges so that you, too, can play your part in helping our planet.
