Recently we were given the opportunity to teach a short German lesson to the Year 3s at the Prep School.
We wanted to make the lesson as fun as possible, so in our groups we prepared presentations and lesson plans. The different groups all taught slightly different things, covering the basics in a variety of ways – one group covered numbers and introductions and another covered introductions in more depth. As well as this, we decided to teach them the German alphabet using animals.
It was really fun to teach the children and it gave us a valuable teaching experience. If you get the chance for this kind of opportunity in the future, we recommend that you take it!
