Congratulations to the GDST athletics team who came 2nd in the annual athletics rally out of 19 schools! The team consisted of 26 girls from year 7,8,9 and 12. We enjoyed excellent facilities at Bath University and the girls performed really well. Gold meals came from Olivia M. (Year 7) in the 1500m, Eloise B. (Year 8) in the hurdles, Beth W. (Year 9) in Javelin, Amy D. (Year 9) in the Long Jump and Captain Abby A. (Year 12) 100m and 200m. There were many girls finishing in 2nd and 3rd to give us a finishing position of 2nd place overall, only 11 points
behind the winners! A fantastic day for all.
