We were delighted to see all our pupils arriving here on a bright sunny morning of 5th September. For most, returning to start a new school year back at OHS, but for our Year 7 pupils it was their first day of senior school.
Along with registration, form time, a whole school assembly and settling in orientation, all new Year 7 pupils spent some time in their classrooms working on a 1st Day of School poster project. Each pupil was asked to fill in a poster telling us about their own favourite things; from books, songs and sport to the things they love the most. The staff and tutors were able to read the posters and chat to the girls about their answers. We were amazed at the breadth of interests and passions amongst the girls. We also noted how many girls loved their cats, and conversely, many loving their dogs! Lots of other pets were mentioned too. We all look forward to our pupils settling into term and seeing their favourites in action, particularly on the sports field, performing arts and of course the classroom.
