Farewell, Year 11

15 May 2019

It hardly seems possible that the Year 11s official last day was a week ago today. By now they are well into the swing of their exams, with much of the initial nerves dissipated, a good steady rhythm beginning to develop and – maybe, just maybe – the prospect of finishing the exams and the long summer break rising gradually into view.

As part of the celebrations kindly organised by Head of Year 11,  Mrs Berry, to commemorate Year 11’s big moment, she challenged the girls to formalise the inevitable deconstruction, thread by thread, of their uniforms across two days. On the first day, they were challenged to come in wearing the best, most perfect, ‘Year 7’ iteration of their uniforms they could possibly manage.

On the second day, they were allowed to come in wearing the most creatively ‘distressed’ version of their uniforms conceivable. The results were quite something, as you can see below.

It’s been a long and emotional ride since Year 7, and I know we’re going to miss some of you a lot and see others of you soon, but, either way, we’re rooting for all of you, all the way.
