On Enterprise Day, Year 10 students were asked to make up a business in the span of 2.5 hours, including a business name, a logo, product ideas, where it would be sold, and finances.
Everyone involved managed to make the presentation on time, which is impressive considering the short time limit. As a year group, we had some prior knowledge from last year that prepared us for this task due to our Business circus subject; so any knowledge we had on how to do this was most likely thanks to Mr Gallacher and Ms Siddiqi who taught us how to make a business plan.
Ideas ranged from board games to hydrating juices and smoothies, all of which were unique and engaging. After speaking to some people in the year, overall students learnt how to create a business plan in further detail.
After gathering some feedback from the students involved, this is what some of them said:
“There was a variety of topics discussed and ideas introduced, which made me think about a lot of things”
“It was interesting to see a wide range of ideas”
It’s great how much fun everyone was able to have. None of it would have been possible without the amazing faculty who pulled through to arrange such a fantastic day!
