It’s guaranteed that most days are celebrated over at Pre-Prep but this week has been EXTRA ‘celebrationy’ as the girls have been enjoying Diwali.
We arrived in our best dresses and finest gowns (sparkly shoes obligatory, of course) and took part in all sorts of activities to celebrate Diwali and also to learn more about Indian culture. We made Disco Dough; we made delicious pink (and VERY perfectly sweet) Barfi; we designed chalk paintings on the school front garden and had newly-professional (sort of…) Henna extraordinaire, Mrs Aylward-Page, decorating the girls’ hands with their own designs.
A huge thanks goes out to all of our staff, who developed very special skills and used their superlative enthusiasm, as always, for making it such a fun celebration possible.
The music was beautiful, the atmosphere was electric and we can’t wait to see what our next celebration has in store.
