As part of our standing in solidarity with the current global movement to challenge racism, we at OHS have convened a Diversity and Racial Justice Working Group.
The Group, consisting of volunteers from among current staff members and a representative from the School Governing Board, held its first formal meeting last week under the chairmanship of Dr Stringer.
United by our commitment to carry forward meaningful change, we took as our blueprint the Commission for Racial Equality’s ‘Learning for All’ Framework and agreed that every aspect of school life, from admissions to training via curriculum and pastoral care, would be included in our remit.
Volunteers from among our Student Prefect Team have stepped forward to work alongside us in this endeavour and we are looking forward to engaging with a broad range of voices across our community to inform our work, and reporting regularly on our findings and progress.
