This year, Dance has taken off at OHPS. Our students have demonstrated their talents through both lessons and co-curricular activities.
In March, the Year 3 & 4 Dance club attended the New Theatre in Oxford, to perform their dance to ‘Schoolin’ Life’ from Beyonce. They performed in a sold out theatre and made OHS really proud!
Dance Squad took the trek to Swindon, in March, to perform in the Regional heats of the Great Big Dance off. The girls performed outstandingly and nearly made Miss Dandridge cry! Unfortunately we didn’t qualify for the Nationals, however reached 5th place.
Finally we finished off the Dance calendar with our annual House Dance competition. Year 5 and 6 brought their creative juices to PE, by creating a dance ready to be judged! Year 5 created a dance with a photo as inspiration, whilst Year 6 picked a specific dance style.
