We had a fantastic Chinese New Year celebration at Oxford High Prep School, filled with cultural experiences for all our students. Our Pre-Prep girls enjoyed workshops on Chinese painting and the magical Sichuan Changing Face Opera, giving them a peek into Chinese art.
The excitement didn’t stop there. Students from Year 3 to Year 6 got to dive into Chinese traditions with Chinese Dragon workshops, lively Lion and Dragon dances and playing traditional Chinese instruments. They also learnt about the stories behind these customs, making the day both fun and educational.
A special highlight was the delicious Chinese food we all got to enjoy. It was a real treat and made our celebration of Chinese New Year even more wonderful by letting everyone taste the decadent flavours of China.
