Morning tutor time in 9G took on a new dimension recently when Mr Abrams challenged Tashika to a game of chess!
The form watched eagerly as they pitted their wits against each other in a show of strategy and skill. The game was projected onto the board for everyone to enjoy and each player was timed to add to the pressure. Tashika triumphed, and the form appreciated Mr Abrams’ sporting efforts! It was a good way to showcase the allure of chess, and we hope that it will encourage even more people to give the game a try.

Last weekend Tashika played in a National League match against players of all ages, some of whom had travelled from as far away as Spain, Italy and Romania. We wish Tashika good luck in a four-day ‘Chess Congress’ to be held in Daventry this Easter.
