We are absolutely delighted to share that Alicia in Year 9 was part of the first-place winning team in the Novice Division of the Lockheed Martin Code Quest, a prestigious and intellectually demanding programming competition.
Code Quest, hosted annually by aerospace and technology leader Lockheed Martin, brings together teams of high school students from across the country to compete in a high-stakes coding challenge. Teams of two to three students collaborate to solve a series of 20 to 30 complex problems, developed by Lockheed Martin’s own engineers and programmers. Competitors are allowed to code in Java, Python, C#, or C++, racing against the clock and each other to complete the “quest.”
Alicia, competing in the Novice Division, demonstrated outstanding problem-solving ability, coding skills and team collaboration to help her team clinch the top spot in their category. To tackle this kind of challenge as a Year 9 student is no small feat and to come away with a win speaks volumes about her determination, focus and flair for computing.
Congratulations, Alicia!
