Simon is a highly acclaimed British screenwriter, with an impressive anthology of work including The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen and The Full Monty.
In 2009 Simon won The Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for the powerful film Slumdog Millionaire, and in 2013 he received an Olivier nomination for his stage adaptation of the well known story of unemployed steelworkers from Sheffield, The Full Monty.
