One in four OHS students travel into the city from surrounding areas, taking advantage of the bus, coach and train connections into Oxford.

Minibus Service

From September 2023, we are delighted to confirm that we are launching our own minibus service to support current and future pupils, from Year 3 to Year 13, with all their transport needs to and from Oxford High School. This service will be run in conjunction with Vectare, who manage minibus routes across the GDST.

The school plans to operate one service in the morning and two services in the evening. We will be running two late buses to both train stations, and all Park & Ride car parks around Oxford, to allow pupils to be involved in activities. We strive to create a network that works for the majority of pupils and welcome your feedback if you feel this is not the case.

If you have any further questions, queries, or thoughts, please do not hesitate to contact Vectare, who are managing this for us on oxfordhigh@vectare.co.uk and they will be able to assist.

Minibus Service

London to Oxford

There are good train and coach services to Oxford. Oxford has its main station in the centre of the city and now has a new Oxford to London Marylebone rail link serving the north of the city at Oxford Parkway station, with services running to London Marylebone in under an hour. For up to date information on this new service, visit Chiltern Railways for news of the new timetable. Both train stations have public bus services which serve Summertown where Oxford High School is situated.

Within Oxford

Girls who live in the city typically choose to walk, cycle or take the city buses to school. Others get a lift with family members.
