Celebration of Achievement 2025

9 July 2025

We were delighted to come together for our end of year Celebration of Achievement, a special event dedicated to recognising the incredible talents and hard work of our pupils across all year groups.

The afternoon began on a soaring note with a beautiful piano solo of Aufschwung (‘Soaring’) by Robert Schumann, performed by the talented Yalan (Year 9). Our Head, Mrs Gardiner Legge, warmly welcomed everyone, setting an inspiring tone for the celebrations ahead.

We then moved into the awards presentations, starting with Year 7 pupils, followed by an engaging ‘Speak Up’ presentation from Year 8’s Anaïs on the fascinating topic Why fungi will change the world. Year 8 awards were presented shortly after.

The Chamber Choir lifted spirits with their soulful rendition of Fly Me to the Moon, arranged by Berty Rice, before we celebrated the achievements of our Year 9 pupils.

A highlight of the afternoon was the Academic Scholarship presentation by Sophia (year 8) and Olivia (year 10), who explored What might communication look like in the future? before Year 10 awards were presented.

We were honoured to welcome Matthew Smith, Chair of Governors, who gave a thought-provoking guest speech. A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by Cici (Year 9), rounding off the formal part of the event.

The celebrations continued with a burst of energy as Year 7 dancers Catalina, Milly, Deniz, Avril and Kenisha took to the stage with a lively performance to Dua Lipa’s Physical. Finally, our Samba Band brought the event to a rhythmic and festive close with their vibrant rendition of Samba Batucada.

Congratulations to all our pupils for their dedication, creativity and hard work. Their achievements are truly something to celebrate!
