Oxford High School’s talented staff and students have been busy with their crochet hooks in response to the January Red Hat Project Appeal at the John Radcliffe Hospital Women’s Centre. Led by our wonderful Year 12 Crochet Club leaders – Kimia, Heidi, Justine and Natalie – the OHS community has crocheted a collection of tiny red baby hats, each made with care and compassion.
These little red hats serve an important purpose: they act as a visual reminder for maternity staff, highlighting babies who require additional observations beyond standard postnatal checks. It’s a small but significant gesture that can make a real difference in ensuring newborns receive the best possible care.
The hats are not only adorable but also a testament to the generosity and skill of our OHS crocheters. A huge thank you to everyone who picked up a crochet hook to support this initiative! The hats have now been delivered to the John Radcliffe Hospital, where they will go on to help newborns and their families.
