Agroup of Classics and Italian students took a trip to the Bay of Naples over half term, which offered an incredible blend of cultural immersion and language learning.
The group started their journey at the Association of Pizza Makers in Naples, where they learned the art of crafting authentic Neapolitan pizza under the guidance of a certified pizzaiolo. After mastering the technique, the students enjoyed the delicious pizzas they had made.
Later, they visited a primary school in Pozzuoli, where they helped local pupils practice conversational English. In return, the younger students switched roles, becoming ‘conversation assistants’ and helping our students sharpen their Italian skills.
The trip highlighted the students’ enthusiasm for language and culture, leaving them with unforgettable experiences and new linguistic confidence!
