This week, our Year 7 students had the chance to sharpen their problem solving and team building skills through an exciting series of challenges. The activities were designed to push them beyond their comfort zones, encouraging them to think creatively and dissect problems into manageable parts. These critical skills are not only valuable for academic success but also serve them well in life beyond the classroom.
Transitioning to Senior School can be daunting, and settling into new routines and forming friendships can be challenging. With that in mind, this day was more than just a series of tasks – it was an opportunity for students to build their confidence, improve communication and form new bonds with their peers. Working in teams taught them the importance of collaboration, listening to different perspectives and contributing to a shared goal.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement, teamwork and plenty of laughter. Students approached each challenge with enthusiasm and it was wonderful to see them coming together to support one another. By the end of the day, not only had they developed important problem solving skills, but many had also made new friends and strengthened relationships within their year group.
