What a fantastic day of sport across the entire school!
Pre-Prep kicked the day off with their events in the morning and were cheered on by all of the Prep School as well as the House and Sports Captains. Plenty of stickers were won and the pupils showed that all their practise had paid off. Mrs. Day is incredibly proud of all the pupils who took part, well done!
Year 3 & 4 were next and showed great determination alongside good sportsmanship. A few records were broken during the events and some of these records were held by students who were at OHS in 2001! Lucy M in Year 4 achieved a new record in the long jump competition, jumping 3m 10cm, and Iris M ran a fantastic 400m, completing it in 1 minute 24 seconds, smashing the record that had been held since 2019! Well done to both athletes. It was lovely to see wonderful support from other pupils in all the houses!
Year 5 & 6 have been talking about Sports Day for many weeks and were really keen to get started. Great passion for their houses really shines through on days like this, and the sports staff are so proud to see young athletes enjoying their sport and having pride in their houses and each other’s performances.
