On Wednesday 5th June, Year 5 visited the Pitt Rivers Museum as part of our shadow puppetry project. This initiative, a collaboration between Mandarin and Music, involves shadow puppet storytelling in Chinese, complemented by music. The museum trip provided insights into global puppetry traditions, emphasising both technical and narrative diversity. Students handled Javanese puppets, participated in a shadow puppet performance, and explored the museum to inspire their own stories.
