Last night, we were lucky enough to experience enchanting musical melodies at our much-anticipated Summer Promenade Concert.
The last musical event of the school year. The unpredictable British weather, didn’t deter our performers, who took it all in their stride as we moved inside for the first half and then continued outside as soon as the weather improved. Many attendees brought their own picnic rugs or folding chairs, with some even coming prepared with a picnic and drinks. Could there be a more pleasant way to spend a summer’s evening?
As always, Dr Foster and the fantastic Music Department prepared a brilliant programme of performances, encompassing a range of music ensembles, featuring pieces from modern and traditional composers and writers. Over the course of the evening, we heard from our Senior Orchestra, String Quintet, Wind Quartet, Clarinet Ensemble, Lower School Choir, Lower School Orchestra, String Orchestra, Chamber Choir, Percussion Ensemble and Concert Band, among many more!
What a wonderful way to end a year of musical delight. Thank you to everyone involved!
