Musicians from across Years 7, 8 and 9 came together for the annual Lower School Concert, which celebrates the talents and hard work of our students.
The evening started off with the Lower School Choir and their rendition of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, followed by the Year 7 String Quartet with Quartet No. 1 in B major movement 1 and Emma L and Alice Z playing Queen of the Night Aria by Mozart.
The Mozart piece, was following by a beautiful piece from our Flute Choir, Chamber Choir and Year 8 band, who performed Head in the Clouds. Soloists on the evening were Phoebe A with Impromptu in B Minor, Yanxuan Z with Las plus que lente, Chelsea S with A Hermit Thrush At Morn and finally Meriel A with Riff-Laden on the flute.
We had the pleasure of Year 9 musicians closing the concert with their version of The Final Countdown by Europe.
