It was wonderful to join parents and staff to celebrate our wonderful Year 12 students and all their achievements – both academic and co-curricular.
In the face of all the challenges brought about by the pandemic, their superb GCSE results is a testament to their hard work and resilience. This success has provided an excellent foundation for A Level, where they have embraced all of the opportunities offered within our wider Sixth Form programme, with great energy and enthusiasm.
As you would expect from a group of students who love learning, their extended research projects cover a vast range of topics. They are clearly relishing the experience of Young Enterprise, Conrad Challenge, the School Magazine and Sports Leadership. Equally, they have shown impressive leadership in stepping up to lead a wide range of clubs and other activities. Younger students both here at OHS and in our local partner primary schools have benefitted greatly from their time and talents over the term. It’s also been fantastic to see Year 12 students at the forefront of so many sporting achievements, concerts and drama performances too. Congratulations to everyone involved!
