Linked to COP27 and as part of our work increasing awareness of climate change, many classes in the Prep school joined thousands of schools on live workshops last Thursday 10th November on Protecting our Planet day 2022.
Years 1, 4, 5 and 6 developed their understanding of protecting ice and oceans, and forests and the earth. The workshops organised by STEM were inspiring in showing the girls habitats and ecosystems from all over the globe, including drone footage of many different types of forests, conversations with expert scientists and a live link up with a research station in Antarctica. Alongside work in geography lessons, hopefully this is helping the girls to understand climate change and develop sustainable habits in their own lives.
