Cyber Discovery is a government-funded, extracurricular programme for UK students aged 13-18. On Monday, our Years 9 and 10 students had a great day of cyber-security training, followed by a Capture the Flag tournament in the afternoon.
With expert training from Mr Watts, who also accompanied them on the trip, the girls took part in four stages of growing complexity, which culminated in the Capture the Flag competition run in CyberStart Compete. Here the girls battled against their peers and learned a great deal in the process.
Cyber Discovery runs every year, so those team-members who are still eligible will surely return for more next year – and will undoubtedly be joined by girls from the year below who have heard about their exploits and want to replicate them!
