We are delighted to announce that our OHS Sports Scholar Georgia Brown has been selected for Scotland’s National Football team.
Year 13 Georgia has had a fascinating journey through her OHS Sixth Form. She joined us in Year 12 as a sports scholar from Cheltenham, and was shortly after selected to play for Oxford United WFC. Since then, she has captained the OHS side through one ISFA championship, where we reached the semi-finals, and is now helming an even stronger side, whom we hope will go all the way (see our recent round-up of ISFA coverage here).
In addition to all her sporting excellence, Georgia is a great advertisement for how to balance elite sporting ambition with academic excellence. Mr Gilbert is very proud and a little wowed by the fact that she keeps doing so well in her studies whilst training so hard. It is, indeed, a credit to her.
So, we are delighted to take thie moment to celebrate and share in Georgia’s success – and to hope that she will allow us to cheer her on from the sideines in her continuing journey.
