In 2013/14, there were two OHS Young Enterprise companies, Flair and Toucan. Flair pitched the idea of their guide to Oxford for students by students to local language schools. This was followed by their Annual General Meeting and the winding up of their company. Toucan broadened their selling opportunities outside school and transformed themselves from a scarf to a luxury clothing company. They secured endorsements from a wide range of celebrities and used social media extensively in their marketing.
At the Oxfordshire Finals of the competition in May they won the Oxfordshire Final’s Best Company of the Year 2014. They also won the Oxford Computer Consultants Award for best use of on-line media and the Richardsons Award for best financial management.
Toucan then progressed to the Regional Finals at Dorney Lake where they again won against opposition from Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, Berkshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight
