As leaders in girls’ education, Oxford High provides a world-class educational experience for all our girls. Crucial to this is the pursuit of academic excellence, including but going well beyond outstanding examination results, involving a deep understanding and love of subjects and the possession of higher order thinking skills. Our vision is that through teaching that inspires as well as challenges, Oxford High School girls develop independence, initiative, creativity, and resilience. They approach the unfamiliar with skill and confidence, take responsibility for their own learning, and work effectively with others. We teach students to be aware of the impact of their actions on others, on the wider world, and on themselves. When they leave school, they have places at their first-choice universities, are well equipped to succeed in the workplace and find fulfilment in their lives, and have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make a positive difference in the wider world. Our 2016/17 Academic Curriculum has been developed with these aims at its heart.
