“OHS gave me much more than a fantastic education. It fuelled my curiosity and gave me the critical tools with which to understand the world, myself and others. It gave me the confidence to believe that I could one day be a leader. It seeded the belief that ability mattered more than glass ceilings or any preconceived notions of what women could or couldn’t do and it instilled in me the desire to empower people to bring about positive social change. In my professional life, I often think about how I am passing on to my younger colleagues what OHS gave to me.”

There is no such thing as a predictable career path for an Oxford High alumna. You’ll meet them everywhere – making their mark, being creative and getting heard. They possess the essential skills needed for adapting to a changing economy and professional landscape, and they are confident at leading. The foundation for this confidence begins in school.
We do not expect students to know exactly what they want to study or to be; the emphasis is on discovery and keeping an open mind. By nature, our students are enterprising and enquiring. We foster this by throwing exciting opportunities their way whether it is through our Work Experience Programme learning to write a CV, apply for placements and find out about professions or chatting to stallholders at our annual Careers Fair where they can meet representatives from universities, gap year providers and professionals. We are here to listen, expertly guide and give vital opportunities to gain internships and volunteering opportunities, enjoy master classes and get excited by the future. We are delighted to have been re-awarded the prestigious Investors in Careers award.
