‘OHS Sixth Form meant that I arrived at university knowing how to study, how to make good decisions and how to connect with others. I still see the friends I made there.’
Chloe Mortensen, 2001 leaver, radiologist.
We offer a structured and bespoke higher education service for Sixth Form students, which begins at the start of Year 12. We are on hand at every stage of the application process. We even offer support to undergraduates and post-graduates who may need extra Higher Education and careers guidance in the years after they have left Oxford High. We find that students learn how to make mature decisions by weighing up the merits of possible courses and institutions.
Although most of our students apply to study at UK universities we offer expert support for applications to USA and universities in Europe and beyond. No one size fits all and we focus on helping the students to reach decisions that are right for them. We have partnerships with Morrisby, Medic Portal, Unifrog, and OxLep Skills. We advertise careers events offered for free by the General Council of the Bar and Fulbright (USA College Day) and the GDST works closely with e.g. Rolls-Royce, PwC, the Royal Opera House and many other employers to offer exclusive career insight days to Sixth Formers at our schools. The Sixth Form gives every girl the chance to flourish by extending her repertoire of work experience placements, volunteering and workshops within and outside school.
