A Place for Every Passion
At Oxford High School GDST, co-curricular life isn’t an add-on, it’s a core part of who we are. It’s where students grow in confidence, build lifelong friendships, and discover what they’re capable of.
We believe that every student should feel free to be unapologetically themselves. That’s why our co-curricular life is so diverse, with over 100 clubs, societies and opportunities.
No Limits. Just Possibilities.
Whether you’re a coder or a cellist, a climate activist or a costume designer, there’s space for you to thrive. We celebrate individuality and encourage students to lead with their passions. We don’t set limits. We set students free to explore, to lead, to collaborate, and to be themselves. Because here, success isn’t about fitting in; it’s about standing out with courage, with kindness, and with purpose.
Many clubs and initiatives are born from student ideas, which is a testament to the confidence and creativity we nurture.
Our inclusive culture means that every girl is seen, heard, and valued. No one has to fit a mould. Instead, they’re empowered to shape their own path and to support others in doing the same.
Stronger Together
At the heart of Oxford High School is a deep sense of collaborative sisterhood. Our House system brings students together across year groups, creating a culture of support, shared purpose, and joyful competition.
Whether it’s House Drama, Music, Sport, or Charity Challenges, students experience the power of teamwork and the thrill of collective achievement.
These events aren’t just about winning, they’re about belonging. They’re where friendships are forged, confidence is built, and every student finds her voice.
Beyond Houses, collaboration thrives in every corner of school life. From choirs and orchestras to STEM teams and sports squads. Students learn that success is sweeter when shared, and that lifting each other up is part of what makes Oxford High School so special.
Lead, Explore and Shine
Leadership at Oxford High School isn’t reserved for a select few, it’s embedded in everything we do. From House Captains and Club Leaders to Life Ready Ambassadors and Sixth Form Mentors, students are given real responsibility and the chance to make a difference.
Our Life Ready programme equips girls with the skills to lead with integrity, from public speaking and digital fluency to ethical decision-making and financial literacy. It’s about preparing students not just for university, but for life.
And through GDST-wide initiatives like the Young Leaders Conference, Space Technology Programme, and national competitions, our students connect with peers across the country, collaborate on ambitious projects, and celebrate the power of girls’ education.
