Our Heads of Year work closely with Deputy Heads and our School Nurse, Lucy Mullins, to create a programme of whole-school PSHCE activities and year-based programmes that are tailored to fit the needs and experiences of those age groups.

Our whole-school PSHCE activities include the following:

School CouncilEqualities PrefectsGreen Fair RepsWhole school PSHCE Focus
(LGBTQ/Neurodivergence)
Y12 Book Buddies
(Cutteslowe)
Y12 Science Mentors
(New Marston)
Y9 Football LeadersY8 JEMS Mentors

At the year-group level, our PSHCE programme changes annually, featuring guest speakers and discrete focuses relevant to the girls’ needs and experiences. Often these programmes are adapted to fit the needs of individual year groups, with recent requests from Year 10 leading to new modules on managing money and how to deal with unwanted attention. Other year groups might have more structured focuses, such as Year 11 receiving a unit on study skills prior to their Mock GCSEs.

An example of how a PSHCE programme might look across the year is given below.
