Structure to Support, Freedom to Flourish

Our days are thoughtfully designed to give girls the security they need to feel confident and the space they need to be curious so they can focus on what really matters: learning, growing and enjoying every moment.

Balanced. Joyful. Purposeful.

At Oxford High Prep School, each day is thoughtfully structured to provide a reassuring tempo, one that balances focused learning with time to play, explore and recharge.

From the moment girls arrive, they step into an environment designed to support their wellbeing and spark their curiosity. Lessons are paced to keep minds engaged, while regular breaks and outdoor play ensure energy and creativity stay high.

At lunchtime, all pupils enjoy a hot, nutritious meal served in our welcoming dining hall. A moment to refuel, connect with friends and reset for the afternoon’s adventures.

It’s a day built not just for learning, but for growing confidently, happily and together.

Fuelling Curiosity Every Day

At Oxford High Prep School, food is recognised as a vital part of daily life, not just for nourishment, but as a key contributor to pupils’ wellbeing, energy levels and ability to concentrate throughout the school day. We understand that a healthy, balanced diet plays a crucial role in supporting children’s learning, development and overall happiness.

Our dedicated catering team takes great pride in delivering meals of an excellent standard. All food is freshly prepared on-site using carefully sourced ingredients, with a strong emphasis on nutritional balance and quality. The menus are thoughtfully designed to appeal to young appetites while ensuring pupils receive the energy and nutrients they need to thrive both academically and physically.

We also celebrate the diversity of our school community by offering a wide variety of meal options that cater to different dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-aware choices. Pupils are encouraged to explore new flavours and enjoy mealtimes as a social and enjoyable part of their day.

Whether it’s a hearty lunch, a healthy snack, or a themed food day, our approach to catering reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing the whole child, body and mind.

Care that’s Flexible for your Family

At Oxford High Prep School, we know that a smooth school day starts and ends with feeling safe, supported and settled. That’s why we offer flexible wraparound care designed to support busy families and give every girl a calm, confident start and a happy, relaxed end to her day.

Breakfast Club
Start the day with a smile. Our Breakfast Club runs from 07:30 to 08:00am on both sites, offering a calm, nourishing environment with fruit, cereal, yoghurt and toast. Girls can arrive at a time that suits your routine and enjoy a gentle, sociable start to the day.

After School Care
End the day with fun and friendship. Run by SuperClubs, our After School Club is open from 3:45pm to 6:00pm during term time. It’s a safe, play-focused space where girls from Reception to Year 6 can unwind, try new activities and enjoy time with friends, all within the comfort of the school setting.

Whether you need regular wraparound care or occasional support, we’re here to make your family’s day run smoothly.
