Care & Wellbeing

A Happy Place to Grow

At Oxford High Prep School, pastoral care isn’t a policy, it’s a way of life.
Supporting our students’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

Rooted in Care. Grown in Confidence

The wellbeing of our pupils is in every conversation, every classroom and every connection. When a girl feels safe, seen and supported, she’ll be confident to be unapologetically herself.

Our approach is proactive, personal and powerful. With small class sizes and expert staff who understand how girls learn and grow, we notice the details. We see the quiet worry, the spark of curiosity and the moment she finds her voice.

We create a culture of trust and belonging. From Reception through to Year 6, girls are encouraged to speak up, reflect honestly and look out for one another. Through our PSHE programme, assemblies, mentoring time and house activities, they learn how to manage emotions, navigate friendships and build resilience for the years ahead.

Rooted in care, our girls rise with courage. At Oxford High Prep School, we don’t just nurture wellbeing, we ignite confidence that lasts a lifetime.

Find their Voice, Shape their World

Our pupils drive what we do. They helped us to create our award-nominated Life Ready and Future Ready programmes which focus on self-management, wellness, relationships and learning. But they drive so much more. From launching new clubs, presenting at TEDx Youth events, developing ideas for the playground or organising charity fundraising and house activities they have suggested, our pupils have the opportunity to take initiative and think for themselves.

We are proud to be a school where the pupil’s voice drives real change and shapes the support they receive and this nurtures confident, compassionate and community-minded girls.

At Oxford High Prep School, wellbeing doesn’t sit alongside learning, it powers it. Girls who feel secure will take intellectual risks. Girls who feel supported will try again after setbacks. Girls who feel proud of who they are will lead, speak up, and stand tall.

We’re a happy place to grow.
