Preparatory School Gap Year Assistant
Full time, term time only
GDST Support Staff Grade 1, £16,848 per annum FTE £9 per hour

Oxford High Preparatory School is seeking enthusiastic and committed school leavers to be a member of a vibrant school community. You will be an integral part of the team working with fantastic children and staff at the Prep School. You will have a timetable that consists of daily duties, assisting in the classroom as well as contributing to the logistical demands of a school day. We are keen to make use of your interests and skills be they sport, the arts or sciences although you may prefer to simply immerse yourself into the wide range of activities and events that take place on a daily basis. Those who have previously worked at the school as gap year assistants have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and are often very sad to leave.

This is a very fulfilling job which enables you to work with fun and engaging children and is excellent on a CV. This would also be highly recommended to anyone who might be considering a career in education.

There are also opportunities to assist with after school duties, which would be paid as an additional responsibility.

This role will be offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis up to 10 July 2020.

HR Administrator

This is an exciting opportunity to use your first class organisational and administrative skills to play a key HR role in a renowned and well-regarded school.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, this key role will provide administrative HR support for recruitment, staff induction and the employee life cycle, as well as liaising with the GDST payroll department and assisting with first line HR enquiries.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team as well as with teachers, administrative staff, external agencies and applicants, this role requires the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Knowledge and experience within an HR function would be essential and experience of a school setting desirable.  We are looking for an expert administrator and coordinator who is able to balance conflicting priorities and who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
