Many parents take the opportunity to walk or cycle to school with their daughters. Those living farther afield may wish to take advantage of our membership of the Oxford Schools’ Bus Partnership network. This provides our students with access to ten different routes covering the Oxfordshire area, providing reliable transport for families from Bicester and Banbury in the north to Reading and Goring in the south, Lewknor in the east and Faringdon to the west.
Visit the OSBP site to book your daughter’s place.
A number of children come to school on the OSBP service and are met each morning by a member of staff. Those who travel on the service at the end of the day will be supervised in After School Care until their departure time when a member of staff will see them onto the bus.
From September 2023 the OSBP service will cease to operate. We are delighted to confirm that we are launching our own minibus service to support current and future pupils, from Year 3 to 13, with all their transport needs to and from Oxford High School. This service will be run in conjunction with Vectare, who manage minibus routes across the GDST.
The school will operate one service each morning, and then two services each evening. We will be running late services to a number of key hubs to allow pupils to be involved in activities.
We have been working hard over the last few months with Vectare, to determine the most suitable routes for the OHS community (based on post codes and survey data). We have produced a guide to outline the new service, we have tried to create a network that works for the majority of pupils and we would welcome your feedback if you feel this is not the case. The guide is designed to operate as a consultation document, and we recognise that there will need to be changes to routes and timetables depending on demand. We will be collecting feedback between now and 31 January 2023, so we can look to make changes. Please complete this consultation form.
