The ethos underpinning this first year at Oxford High is to learn through play, collaboration and discovery. In our Pre-Prep site at Woodstock Road, our Reception classes develop their curiosity and problem-solving skills though role-play, construction, building dens, getting messy with goo, getting creative with sequins and paint, using their senses at our very own Forest School or making some noise with our outdoor musical Spiral Scraper.
Moving seamlessly between indoor and outdoor play, cooperative play and quiet concentration, girls learn fundamental principles of collaboration, leadership, language and scientific enquiry. These lessons are further enhanced by a balanced programme of early English and Mathematics plus a taste of Mandarin. Meanwhile, all girls benefit from the personalised care and attention we are able to devote to each pupil to ensure that she maximises her potential, develops lifelong friendships and cultivates the persistence to overcome setbacks and learn from her mistakes.
There won’t be a dull moment – and your daughter will never realise quite how much she has learned or grown.
