WHERE NEXT?
One of the joys of being an OHS sixth former is the freedom you enjoy, not just in what you study but the way you study. Unlike other sixth forms, we encourage our students to enjoy a campus lifestyle in which girls dress as undergraduates rather than feeling constrained by business suits. The message here is not one of informality but equality: what matters most to our teachers is not appearance but the quality of their thoughts and the content of their character.
Our friendly team are always on hand to answer your questions, arrange a personal visit or find you the ideal person with whom to speak about your daughter.
So don’t hesitate to get in touch – we really do love to hear from you.
Enquiries must come from a parent or guardian over 18.
The Sixth form is an unforgettable time, combining increased independence, intellectual curiosity, leadership and fun.
Our Sixth Form is a friendly, stimulating and exciting environment where you will flourish academically and develop your individual talents and potential. Our students have a track record of academic success at GCSE which they develop and enhance at A Level.
As leaders in education, we are thrilled to offer a world-class educational experience for girls.
We want students to be ambitious in all areas of life, to develop academic rigour, intellectual curiosity and agile thought.
Crucial to this is the pursuit of academic excellence, including but going well beyond outstanding examination results, as each of you is empowered with a deep love of learning and agile critical-thinking skills.
Since the school’s establishment in 1875, countless remarkable women have been educated here at Oxford High. On this page, you can learn about some of our best-known alumnae, from Dame Maggie Smith to Dame Cressida Dick.
Life and study in the sixth form are organised through our bespoke Sixth Form Programme, developed exclusively by Oxford High School to create the women leaders of tomorrow.
The Programme is comprised of three strands – Academics, Horizons and Perspectives. Each strand extends the learning and outlook of every girl and equips her with the skills, mental agility and well-being that today’s young women need for success.
