This summer, our Year 13 pupils, Phyllida and Caoimhe, demonstrated what it means to be fearlessly ambitious by taking on an extraordinary challenge: trekking 90 miles along the Cornish coast from Newquay to Penzance.
Over eight days, they navigated steep coastal paths, stormy weather, and wild camping, pushing themselves physically and mentally while raising over £1,500 (plus Gift Aid) for SSNAP, a charity supporting sick newborns and their families.
Along the way, a chance encounter with walkers from Tennessee, who generously donated £50 and offered encouraging words, gave the pair extra motivation to complete their adventure.
Their bold and unforgettable journey is a perfect example of the ambition, resilience, and compassion that Oxford High School inspires in its pupils. This Year 13 charity trek not only raised vital funds but also created lasting memories and a powerful sense of achievement.
