Extracurricular Sport

3 May 2015

At Oxford High, we offer an extensive extracurricular programme open to all girls. All students are encouraged to develop their sporting repertoire by building on skills learnt through the curriculum, by engaging in competitions and in trying new and challenging sports. We constantly look to enrich our range of sporting opportunities and our range covers everything from rowing with the Hinksey Sculling School, sailing, zumba, crossfit, football in partnership with the Oxfordshire FA and cricket to name but a few!

We play competitive fixtures against local schools in Oxfordshire and a few further afield in Netball, Hockey, Football, Equestrian, Swimming, Badminton, Cross Country, Rounders, Tennis, Athletics and Cricket after school Monday – Thursday. We also enter County, Regional and National Competitions as well as GDST rallies for a range of sports.

Many extra-curricular clubs are run during lunch time onsite with matches after school. Hockey is held for various age groups at Oxford Hawks Hockey Club Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings until 5.30pm.

Our extra Curricular clubs include the traditional sports mentioned above but also a range of other sports including ; Crossfit, Dance, Cricket, Gymnastics (competition and development), Squash, Tag Rugby, Tae Kwon Do, Trampolining, Rowing*, Sailing* and Tennis Coaching*.

*These incur a small fee
