Top results mean top destinations for Oxford High girls!
Once again, our Oxford High School Sixth Formers are celebrating excellent results with 67% grades at A*/A and 92% A*- B. 33 girls have achieved a clean sweep of A* and A grades across the full range of 26 A levels on offer at the school and OHS girls are taking up places to read a hugely diverse range of subjects at leading institutions throughout the UK and abroad. As ever, we have a high level of success of girls gaining places at Oxford and Cambridge to study wide-ranging subjects including Medicine, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Spanish and History but we also seen a move towards a more international dimension to the courses being studied and the universities the girls are heading to across the UK and abroad.
Our students’ have an immensely broad range of interests which we see reflected in their choice of university courses and they will be studying arts, humanities, languages and STEM subjects at leading universities. This year, many have taken a global perspective on their area of study. There is a noticeable shift to courses which include international relations, international law and international business alongside modern foreign languages, economics and politics.
We are all hugely proud of our students’ achievements this year – in both Year 13 and Year 12 (who received a great set of AS Level results today!). They have shown their characteristic OHS resilience, focus and determination to win places at top-class universities. We have no doubt that our young women will go on to be leaders in the global marketplace. Well done to all our Oxford High Sixth Form!
