Year 5 met some tiny creatures on Tuesday 19th April when Mr Endacott visited the school with his bats. The girls were able to see the bats ‘up close’ and learnt some interesting and surprising facts, some of their comments are below;
‘It was really interesting how bats can be fully grown but look like tiny babies’
‘We found out about three species of bats’
‘We got to see some real life bats, up close!’
‘I thought the bats were fascinating’
‘It was an incredible experience’
‘I will remember this forever’
‘It made me feel different about bats’
‘I never knew fruit bats grow up to 10cm and tiny bumble bee bats weigh less than a penny’
