You are welcome to make a bequest for something specific, such as a bursary, or you can give to where the school’s needs are greatest, and whether the gift is big or small, it really makes a difference to our pupils.
If you are thinking about leaving us a gift we have lots of information to help you. If you intend to make a bequest, or have already made provisions in your will for the school, please do get in touch via development@oxf.gdst.net to discuss further options and let us know you are thinking of us. You only need share the details you wish to with us, and we are always very grateful to hear from you.
Alternatively, if you would like to leave a legacy directly to the GDST, please email development@oxf.gdst.net and you will be put in touch with the GDST’s Director of Development. All discussions will be in complete confidence and your gift may of course remain anonymous, if you wish.
The Sunflower Circle
The Sunflower Circle was established with the help of alumna Dorothy Whittington (1948), who wished to ensure that girls in generations to come would benefit from the same high standard of education she enjoyed. It serves to provide a direct means for alumnae, past teachers and all those interested in the school to arrange to leave legacies, for the direct benefit of the school, in their Wills.
It also has a social element, in which we invite all those who have kindly pledged to leave the school a legacy in their Will to gather together and enjoy events and lunches in and around Oxford. We have had delightful lunches hosted by several of the Oxford colleges at venues including St Hugh’s, Oriel, Balliol and St Edmund Hall, each of which has brought together a wonderful mix of interesting people all united by their love of OHS.
